Seven Ways To Sell With a Video Slide Show

You can easily combine recordings and pictures in a movie editor to create video slide shows. Here are seven tips on what you can sell as video slide shows -- and what you can sell with video slide shows.

1. As a poet, instead of producing a chapbook of poems, create a DVD of you reading your poems with images of artwork or photographs as a background. Slowly zoom or pan across the images to give a feeling of motion -- the so-called "Ken Burns Effect."

2. Don't write your memoirs -- just tell the stories with photographs of the places and people in your past. Again, use the Ken Burns Effect to keep up the interest.

3. Or if you are selling something, discuss its benefits and show it being used. Or discuss and show an affiliate's product or service. People are a lot more inclined to buy a something if they can see it in action. Seeing it will give them a better idea how they could use it and benefit from it themselves.

4. You can sell a slide show on a DVD or digital CD. If you are giving a speech or a class or a seminar, you can create additional sales by offering videos of it. These make good "back-of-the-room sales" at other events.

5. Once you have these videos, you can sell them or give them away for some other advantage. To attract clients to your professional practice, you need to be giving talks packed with useful advice and warnings to lay audiences. These show your expertise, attracting clients when they want the services you provide. You can create video slide shows from your talks to reach even more people than you can address in person.

6. You can sell it as a digital download. It costs almost nothing to send the file -- if your web host doesn't provide unlimited storage and bandwidth, get one who does. The major cost of selling downloads is credit cards processing, which can be under 3%. The best way to avoid having the downloads pirated is to charge a lot for them. People who are willing to rip you off are less likely to put out a lot of money up front.

7. You can offer videos as a premium for purchasing another product. Part of the fun of attending an online product launch is seeing the dozen bonuses you can get if you act quickly. Even shopping at normal times, bonuses with high quoted values can be persuasive.

There are many uses for video slide shows ranging from artistic to commercial, and video slide shows are a lot easier, quicker, and cheaper to create than books.
