According to the United States Census Bureau, of the 45 million Hispanics living in the country, 34 million people over the age of five speak Spanish as their primary language, making the Unites States the second largest Spanish-speaking country in the world, with only Mexico as number one. Others might find it useful when communicating with people and learning about their cultures.
