2. The website provided to you by the merchant is not necessarily the best place to send traffic and get the best results as an affiliate marketer.

If you were to analyse this you will see that using a website provided from an affiliate merchant will not give you the control that you want. Another key point is that when every affiliate marketer is using the exact same website, you have no way to make yourself stand out.

One of the most important things you will learn about 'make money affiliate marketing' is the importance of pre selling and follow-up. Here is what I mean by that!

1. Before sending prospects to your affiliate website get a chance to warm your prospects up by pre selling them on your affiliate product. To do this you will need to create your own web page and talk about some of the benefits from your own personal point of view.

2. Because most visitors will not make a purchase on the first visit, it is important that you gather contact information for future follow up. This can be something as simple as getting their name and e-mail address and storing it in an autoresponder.

The best 'make money affiliate marketers' are people who pre program their autoresponder with relationship building messages. These are useful messages that help you develop a relationship with your prospect and will in turn increase your affiliate sales. To do this you cannot be selling all the time, but rather have to become known as a trusted friend.

When you follow the above points we have listed you are sure to get the best results from 'make money affiliate marketing'. Your ability to sell to a prospect is more easily done when they get to know you, and when they trust the advice that you are giving them.
